About Flobbadob

Flobbadob is a fanzine that focusses solely on the work of production company BBV who have a wide variety of work in the field of Doctor Who spin-offs. Their work ranges from video series that depict characters who could almost have been the Doctor to audio stories which lift characters straight from the Doctor Who universe. Flobbadob is meant as a celebration of this great body of work and aims to shed light on its beginnings as well as reviewing and documenting some of its releases.

I call on all writers who would like to add content to the fanzine to get in touch with me by emailing me at flobbadob_fanzine@hotmail.co.uk or sending me a message on facebook at www.facebook.com/andrewdmyers

Cheers guys. Hopefully together we can make a really good fanzine.

Lack of Contact

Apologies to everyone for the lack of contact recently. In September I started a new job in a school and the fanzine has had to take a back step from that really. But now the Christmas holidays have arrived, I should be able to do quite a bit before I head back in January. We've got some really exciting content coming up so stay posted. I'll let you all know what's happening with the zine as soon as I know more. Merry Christmas to you all and enjoy 'The Doctor, the Widow, and the Wardrobe' xxxx

Richard Franklin

A few weekends ago, I interviewed Richard Franklin regarding his Killing Stone audio book. He was extremely pleasant and gave some wonderfully insightful responses. I'm typing his interview up for the fanzine as we speak. Coupled with this interview is some beautiful artwork from the wonderful Paul Cooke, a review of the audio from www.doctorwhoreviews.com, and a great piece of fan fiction from The Blue Fenix. I'll let you all know when the fanzine's out as I'm sure you'll all be gagging to read it!

Interview with Terry Cooper, designer of the Cyberons

Just got back a cracking interview from Terry Cooper who designed the Cyberons (see main picture above). Very honest. A great insight into the design process and a great read. Thank you, Terry.

New Material

We've got some exciting new material for the fanzine including fiction by Gary Merchant starring the Sontarans as you've never seen them, and an interview with Richard Franklin. We've got great art from Marc D. Lewis, reviews from Andrew Myers, and more is due to come. We still need contributors though, so please email me at flobbadob_fanzine@hotmail.co.uk or tweet me at @flobbadob_BBV if you're interested.
